What do the metrics in the reports mean?

  • TOTOX-value: This is the freshness metric of the oil. The lower the number, the fresher the oil, and the less aftertaste or reflux it causes. NORSAN remains consistently at the very top tier for freshness.
  • Heavy metals and environmental toxins: Our oils are gently purified through advanced filtration processes. Laboratory reports from the GBA Group confirm that the metrics are well below the strictest limit values established by the EU.
  • Fatty acid profile (EPA/DHA): The analyses confirm the exact concentration of the vital fatty acids, guaranteeing that you receive the precise dose stated on the bottle or box.
